Marissa Niemeyer, MSN, AGNP-C, is a fully licensed adult-gerontology nurse practitioner at South Texas Family Medicine and Urgent Care Center in San Antonio, Texas.
She began her education at the University of Detroit Mercy/Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing. She went on to receive her adult geriatric primary care nurse practitioner certification with high honors at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan.
During her studies, Marissa worked as a patient care provider at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She gained skill in assisting therapy in the inpatient psychiatric setting. She then served as a patient care assistant at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
After receiving her nursing certification, Marissa worked at Butterworth Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has also participated in publishing medical research and later guided new registered nurses and prospective students. She then pursued the opportunity to work as a travel registered nurse with FlexCare LLC in Miami, Florida, providing care to COVID-19 patients.
Marissa has since relocated to San Antonio, Texas, and looks forward to working with the team at South Texas Family Medicine and Urgent Care Center. She is eager to connect with new patients and deliver exceptional care.
