FAQ

What causes hair loss?

The most common cause of hair loss is Androgenic Alopecia, also known as "male pattern hair loss" or "female pattern hair loss". It's a hereditary condidtion believed to be onset by male hormones. Some other causes can be stress, PCOS, and traction alopecia (from braids or wearing hair in tight styles).

How does TED work?

The TED uses a hand piece that emits ultrasound vibrations and air pressure to massage the TED+ Hair Care Formula into the scalp. It is painless, and incredibly relaxing.

What is in the TED+ Hair Care Formula?

The TED+ Hair Care Formula provides the hair with  essential amino acids, peptides, and oils. These ingredients are worked into the scalp, follicles, and roots of the hair to support hair health and follicle strength.

What should I expect?

- Before your treatment, make sure the hair is free of any product. It's best not to wash the hair at least 24 hours before so the product can bind to the natural oils already present in the scalp.

- During your treatment, the only thing you should expect is to be relaxed. The ultrasound vibrations from the hand piece creates a scalp massage experience.

- After your treatment, you should not wash your hair for at least 24 hours afterwards to allow full absorption of the TED+ Formula. You should also notice a reduction in shedding as early as 2 weeks after the first session.

How many treatments?

4-6 treatments are recommended. Results will carry on up to 6 months after your last treatment.

Are maintenance treatments needed?

1-2 annual maintenance treatments are needed by some patients.
